The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

Grandma's surgery

Hello everyone, I wish I were writing with better news today. My mom is currently in surgery, to remove a large tumor from the left side of her brain. We won't know the exact type, and more about it until the biopsy results come back in a few days. Unfortunately, the neurosurgeon suspects it is a very serious tumor called a "Glioblastoma, multi-form." This type of tumor is not curable, but removing it can prolong her life for a year. As you can imagine, we are very saddened to learn this, but will keep you informed as the doctors know more. Thank you again for your continued well wishes and prayers. We so appreciate it. Denise
