The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

The Wiley's Weekend Visit!

They arrived! Charlene and Megan flew out on a mother/daughter trip to visit us this weekend, and we are having a wonderful time! Ashlyn was thrilled that Megan could come and help celebrate her birthday early. Megan brought Ashlyn two "Furberries" which are seen hanging from the tree in their "berry form." Later in the day we were off to Ashlyn's piano recital where she performed two songs in a duet with her instructor. After the recital we made a dash into Denver to see, "Disney on Ice: Finding Nemo." A wonderful time was had by all, and we ended the evening with a relaxing dinner at "Ruby Tuesday." Tomorrow the girls will attend, "Saddle Club" together at Briargate Farm and learn all about horses and farm animals. It has been such a treat having the Wiley's come visit us, as we have missed them so much since our move! We hope that you too will consider a trip out to visit us!

So happy to hear that the "girls weekend" with the Wiley's was so great!
Also, it has been about a week since I have caught up on the blog so hadn't heard about your mom's hospitalization. Please know that we are keeping Lorraine in our prayers.
What a terrific testimony of grace under pressure in the form of one amazing woman!
Love to all of you!
