The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

Sunday Morning

We started off the day with eggs for breakfast, and ended the day with collecting farm fresh eggs from Briar Gate Farm! Tom made breakfast this morning for all of us, while Charlene and I dyed Easter eggs with the girls. Afterwards we took the kids to "Saddle Club" which you can read about below.

We were all sad driving Charlene and Megan back to the airport, as it had been such a wonderful weekend together. It started to rain lightly on the way home from the airport, and just as we pulled into our driveway, the snow started to fall. It is still lightly snowing as I type, and the gray sky makes the end of our weekend feel so lonely without the laughter of the girls to fill the house.

Ashlyn is trying to perk up though in anticipation of her 7th birthday next weekend! Thanks again Wiley Family for coming to visit us...it was certainly the best birthday present Ashlyn could have asked for!
