The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

My pretty Mother!

Isn't she lovey! This is my mom with our dog, "Sargent" in 1967.
Mom sunbathing with my dog, "Storm." We all loved the sun and enjoyed it regulary living in southern CA!
Riding Dumbo together...Oh, the joys of Disneyland as a child!
Family Christmas dinner...me, Mom, Aunt Sylvia, Aunt Beth, and my beautiful Grandma Johnson; whom I adored! (You don't see my dad since he is behind the camera!)
Another Christmas, this one in color, (with my dad once again taking the photo.) In this photo my Uncle Jerry joined the family! I was, and still am, especially fond of each one of the people in these photos! They have remained a part of my life today, and although we live in different states, we still get together as often as we can! What a blessing family is! I love you all!

Your mom is a beautiful woman and has touched so many lives with her wonderful heart and example. And she and your dad raised a remarkable daughter who is in turn raising another generation of amazing children. A rich heritage indeed.

I love the photos and that you shared them!

Great pics! Reminds me of Aleah's post the other day...family history is so special. I love that pic on your sidebar of your kids reading together. That is my idea of a perfect afternoon!

Btw, saw your redhead facts on moms blog. Have you heard that redheads are more likely to bleed a lot? I am not sure if it's true (I have never had that problem) but when I had Collin the nurse told me that they worry about that whenever a redhead comes in. Hmmmm, something to think about!

I didn't realize how much Ashlyn looks like you Denise when you were her age! But, the red hair comes from Tom's side of the family, correct?
