The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

Faith, Hope, and Love

My mom is no longer walking. She cannot cook, clean, drive, or enjoy her favorite pastimes. It is becoming more difficult to read and write. My mom's brain tumor is progressing, and cancer is taking over. Although there are many things she cannot do as the cancer continues to grow, there are still three that cancer can never take away; "...faith, hope, and love...and the greatest of these is love."
~1 Corinthians 13:13

What a beautiful picture of you and your mom! Her bright cheery dress and cute hat and the both of you living in the moment is a sight to behold.

Thank you for loving each other!

You are so right, Denise. And I would also add "dignity," which your mom has displayed throughout her illness. You always manage to find the bright spot and to keep a positive perspective. Thanks for continuing to share your mom's journey with us.
