The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

A special request for Red Bluff readers...

The elves have been busy decorating at the Koffords, (pictures to come) and Mrs. Claus, (aka Denise :-) has a special request to ask of a Red Bluff reader. My mom's caregiver Gayle, has been taking out my mom's special Christmas decorations and realized that the artificial tree she used over the past several years is missing.

My mom thought it would be fine to do without a tree this year, but I told her that this year, more than any other, would be the perfect time to have a fresh tree to enjoy. I wanted to ask if any readers in the Red Bluff area would have time this week to stop at a local grocery store lot and buy a 4-6 ft. fresh tree for her? I will send a check off in the mail a.s.a.p!

I asked Gayle to hang her special childhood ornaments on the tree as it would be nice for her to have that memory aide to reminisce about the past, etc... If you would be able to fulfill this request, we would be so appreciative! Please contact me at apple926@q.com if you are available.

Once again, thank you for your friendship and willingness to bring Christmas cheer to my mom!

Denise, I can go to Red Bluff on Friday and get a tree if you don't have one by then. Just let me know, I would be happy to help.

Denise,

I can certainly get a tree for Lorraine. I should be able to pick up one today if she doesn't already have one. I think I'll call and check.
