The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

Labor Day Weekend...

Big sunflowers are all opening around our garden.

The Russian Sage is a vibrant blue/purple and is also in full bloom. You may remember this part of the yard in some of our winter pictures that were completely snow covered!
Sunflowers blooming in our garden...
Big blooms!
Ashlyn's girlfriend Caitlyn got to stay the night and the two were inseperable!
The house with a nice green lawn to enjoy!
Our two fields look like spring has visited! The pond is on the other side of the dirt hill in the distance...aka the new sledding hill in the winter!
It was a beautiful quiet Labor Day weekend on the Kofford property! Ashlyn and Kyle both got to have sleep overs, we had a fun BBQ get together with friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous weather this weekend. Our recent rain makes our 3 acres as green as it was in the spring, and we savoring every moment knowing that autumn is right around the corner!

Enjoyed seeing the lovely relaxing day you had on your beautiful property! How fun for both Kyle and Ashlyn to get to have sleep-overs too. It is nice having a 3 day weekend right after school starts too!

BEAUTIFUL!! Anytime you need a house-sitter you know who to call. I am glad you enjoyed a nice weekend. I am inspired to have a sleep-over with a friend :)

Hi Koffords! It looks like you are having beautiful days before fall arrives. You forgot to mention that sunflowers are your mom's favorite flower! They are just fabulous. I so enjoyed the "walks down memory lane". Great pictures. I am happy to hear your Labor Day weekend was a little relaxed. My love to all!

WOW... what beauty and what fun -- sleepovers. Don't they just bring out the kid in all of us? Glad you had a wonderful, long weekend.
