The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

Thunderhead Falls

We walked 600 feet into the mountain to see where the falls begin...
Quartz veins along the interior walls.
This sink hole is what miners discovered in 1878 when they were digging for gold...
Pretty view of the falls as we followed the waters path.Ashlyn admires the water and how loud it was!

What beautiful scenery and gorgeous photos you posted on the
blog. Looks like you had fun, saw a lot, did a lot, and learned a lot on this trip. You were all troopers with all that climbing and hiking. Ashlyn, you were awesome to go those great distances, and Kyle, you were a natural. Even when I was well I couldn't do all that so I'm glad you shared your pictures for my virtual tour. Love, Mom
