The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

No-Sew-Hot-Glue-Gun-Flop!

Before:

Well, it started out as a good idea...buy some ready made curtains, embelish them with a fancy fringe, and hang up using upholestry tacks to avoid buying curtain rods. With over 50 windows in the house, this seemed like a great money saver. As you can see though, the curtains look like a dud...bummer...it would have been such a great idea if had worked! For the ladies out there, check out the "Nesters" website on the blinkie link to the right. Her examples of "mistreatments" on the left sidebar, are how the curtains are supposed to look! Better luck next time! Billie, I need you to come back and sew for us!!! :-)

After: I came up with a Plan B which is the window covering on the left...still no-sew, and no curtain rods, per the "Nesters" suggestion to save money...I don't know if it is an improvement or not. When we get back from our trip I may take the whole thing down! Decisions!

I think they look great and you are being too hard on yourself. I say no sew is the way to go!
