The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

Home Sweet Home!

We're home! We had an uneventful 8 hour journey yesterday through South Dakota, Nebraska, and Wyoming EXCEPT for the one scare in the middle of the trip! Tom and I had our heads turned looking at a farm when a deer jumped out onto the road, and Tom had to slam on the brakes and keep the car in control as the deer dodged us! It got all of our hearts racing...the most excitement we had in the middle of a day of wheat and corn fields!

We stopped for lunch in "Scottsbluff" Nebraska, and found that like South Dakota, Nebraska doesn't have any better food! HA HA We did enjoy a nice Mexican food feast from our local "3 Margaritas Restaurant" when we got home last night...the first decent meal we had all week! :-) I'll post pictures later today...Until then, stay cool, and Happy Friday!

Glad you are home safe and sound. PTL that the deer didn't hit you! Glad that you can finally find some good food again too. I know exactly what you mean!

So great that your vacation was amazing!
