The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

The UFO is complete!

Tom finished the climbing dome last night, and the kids were happy to try it out today! Now we just need to get it moved to it's final resting place, and that will take the strength of 4 Toms!

My mom had a rough day yesterday, but is feeling better today. I think there will be both good and bad days, and we just have to hope and pray that the good days outnumber the bad. She currently has live in help, but she is getting ready to have some independence back, so she may be making some changes. Since her field of vision has been reduced, and she can no longer drive, it is tough being home bound. Luckily she has her daily helper, and friends to get her out and about.
I sent out a "Helping Hands" message to those of you who have so graciously signed up to bring meals. At this point, since foods just don't taste right to her, she suggested cancelling the meals, but still stopping by for a visit. If you were on our April calendar for meals, do still call ahead and if she is up for a visit, plan to stop by on your meal day. It would mean a lot to my mom to spend time with you! Thank you again for all your help, support, and encouragement. We will never forget the many kindnesses shown to us during my mom's cancer battle!

Glad the kiddo's are enjoying the new climbing structure!

How is your week going with the kids being out of school? Are you keeping them BUSY??

I am a big John Grisham fan, right now I am reading An Innocent Man. It is a true story. I'm sure you and Tom would love it. I would be happy to mail it to you when I done.

Hi to Lorraine! Hope you are feeling better these days and are able to get out of the house and enjoy the Spring weather.
