Hello everyone! Thanks for all your kind comments and concerns regarding today's news. I will be meeting with the doctors first thing in the morning, and we will review all the concerns and options for treatment plans. I will keep you posted.
In the meantime, we are still planning on my mom's homecoming on Friday! Our couch is very uncomfortable (it came with the house, so beggars can't be choosers!) We want my mom to be as comfortable as possible and have everything easily accessible. We found a neat recliner that has a chair lift and is remote control operated. With the push of a button, she can easily recline, or be lifted to a standing position. We think this will be a huge help with her right sided weakness.
You can see Tom and Ashlyn demonstrating it's many fine qualities! :-) We will be sure and show you a photo of Grandma at home, enjoying her new chair in a few short days! Thanks again for all your kind blog comments, and a special thanks to Joie S. for preparing a delicious meal for us to enjoy tonight! It has been such a huge help to not worry about meal preparations right now, and we so appreciate it!

Love the Chair! It looks like Tom loves it too! hee hee!
I'm sure your mom will enjoy it just as much. They will have to fight for it!
Thinking of you this morning and praying the Doctors have good news for your Mom's treatment plans.
Love, Laura D.
Lucky, Lorraine! What a chair! We thought about one of those for me last spring when I was so ill. But I managed without it , luckily, and dear, sweet Lorraine was the best in offering to drive me wherever.... How I sincerely wish I will be able to return the favor to her!
I am better now, as we all hope and pray she will be soon. I'm hoping she finds true comfort in her chair (and, of course, in the life around her). All of our thoughts and prayers are with her constantly.
With many hugs, Kay
My uncle had a chair like that and he loved it! Jake and Casey loved it as well as Ashlan!
Each day is a new day Lorraine! I hope the meeting with your doctor goes well. There are so many drug options for many things these days and I hope they find the right combination for you!
I will try to rival Judy's joke later!
Love, Carlene
Nice chair! Some days I feel like I need one of those (and Christopher probably would love it - so I better not show him:)
Lorraine, I am so sorry to hear about the bad reaction and the cons to this pill. I know whatever you decide will be what's best.
Now that Judy has started with jokes - I'll have to see if I can also come up with some. That should be a challenge!
Take care and I hope that tomorrow will come with some positive options.

Okay, we can relate to hospital jokes:
“Hi? Is this the mental hospital?”
“Yes, it is.”
“Can I speak to Mr. Scott in room ten?
“One moment and I’ll connect you …. I’m sorry, Mr. Scott in not answering.”
“Good. That means I must have really escaped.”
Lorraine- I hope they find the right mix for you (Sharron used to call it her "cocktail") and you escape that hospital. That chair looks really cool. Bet my mom would like one.
Carlene and Sheri - the challenge is on! I'm already one up on you.
XOXO Judy
