It was all lined up to the be perfect relaxing evening. A kind family brought dinner for us, the dishes were done, the kids had their homework finished, and everyone was watching TV. Hmmm...I think I will plan my escape to a nice warm bubble bath hoping no one will notice my absence! hee hee
Moments later, our curious cat Raspberry, decides he would like to join me. He walks gingerly around the tub, reaching in with his paw to scoop up bubbles and eat them (yuck!) I shoo him away knowing cats and water are not a good mix. He is persistent and insists on perching on the ledge pawing at the bubbles.
In the blink of an eye, his back paws slip, and splash goes the cat into the bathtub! His entire body is immersed except for his head! I try to get him out, and he proceeds to scratch my feet and arms in the process! The drenched cat runs off in a wet frenzy dripping bubbles and water down the stairs. Tom rushes in afraid I have fallen. The kids are laughing hysterically, my feet are bleeding, the cat is in a panic...
Did I mention that this was my peaceful escape for the evening?!? Ü

Thank you for a great mind movie and chuckle!
Just look at the event as God's way of lightening the day with humor! Laughter is a great therapy for the soul.
Sorry to hear your "relaxing" bubble bath didn't go as planned! The cat sure looks good though!
Next time, go to a gym and take a Hot Tub/Sauna there with hopefully no interruptions. Then sign yourself up for a massage!
I hope your feet and arms heal quickly, you poor thing!
Laura
Thanks for the belly-laugh. Is Raspberry steering clear of the bathroom now?

After that hectic schedule - I'm sorry to hear that your relaxing evening ended with blood! My cat has also played with bubbles, but I'm afraid (or luckily) I have not had to share the bath with her. Though I have been concerned that she might slip in.
Raspberry does look great though!
I have seen the Roomba in the store and have wondered how well it works.
Everyone is looking great and looks like you are all having fun and keeping busy!

You have such a way with words Denise. It just goes to show, you can run but you can't hide! You say you're learning lessons from Mom, and what a role model she is. I have to tell you, we're all learning lessons from you. What an inspiration you BOTH are : )
On the lighter side, I wonder--were you a GOOD little girl? Lorraine, were you a GOOD little girl? Read on...
A young child walked up to her mother and stared at her hair. As mother scrubbed on the dishes, the girl cleared her throat and sweetly asked; "Why do you have some grey strands in your hair?"
The mother paused and looked at her daughter. "Every time you disobey, I get one strand of grey hair. If you want me to stay pretty, you better obey."
The mother quickly returned to her task of washing dishes. The little girl stood there thinking. She cleared her throat again. "Mother?" She sweetly asked again.
"Yes?" Her Mother replied. "Why is Grandma's hair all grey?"
All I can say is, thank goodness for "the bottle." My mother concurs!
