The Kofford Family relocates to Colorado after 40 years as Californians. In December of 2007, Grandma Lorraine is diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly, she passed away on Dec. 26th, 2008 after a year long courageous battle. Follow our journey as we keep Lorraine's memory alive, and as we learn to appreciate that each day we are given, is a gift to be enjoyed!

Welcome 2011!

Hello friends!
My goodness, I can't believe it has been almost a year since I last made a blog entry! Time presses forward, and I have feared that our mundane lives just weren't of interest any longer, so my posts had stopped for some time. Just in case you still stop in and "visit" from time to time, I wanted to update you on the latest! We are all alive and well despite my silence for so many months!

Kyle is now 15 years old and a freshman in high school. He loves playing guitar, violin, and playing on the boys JV tennis team. Ashlyn is 9 years old and a 4th grader. She is very active in Girl Scouts, and loves serving on the Student Council at her school.

Tom was hired with "Ball Corporation" last spring and is enjoying his new position in Finance. I am currently working on obtaining my Colorado Teaching License so that I can start substitute teaching in our local elementary schools. In the meantime, I am busy as C0-Leader of Ashlyn's Girl Scout troop, working in the classroom, serving on our school PTO board, etc...life is full and we have been happy!

After my parents passed away, we started "The Appletree Scholarship Fund" in their memory. To date, we have awarded 6 $500 scholarships to worthy educators in Tehama County who are committed to enriching their students academic experiences through innovative teaching methods. We plan to continue to awarding the scholarships yearly in the fall. I think my parents would have been pleased to see these smiling students! BIG thanks to all of you who have contributed to our fund! Your generosity has made so much possible!

I look forward to catching up on your blogs and hearing the latest in your lives! I have missed you all, and hope that the new year is off to a wonderful start! Here's to good health, happiness, and much love in 2011!

Love,

Denise and the entire Kofford Family in Colorado! :-)

I just happened to be up late, and I was just thrilled, Denise, to see your name roll up on my reader. YEA!

You look fanatastic, and so does the whole family. And what great news for everyone. A fabulous praise report for which I give thanks.

Glad to see you!

I can't believe it has almost been a year since your last post too... I really didn't think it had been that long. WOW!

All I can say about you is, AMAZING! You look stunning since your weight loss and you are beautiful. I just started my weight loss journey this month and have lost 11 pounds so I love to see others who have lost.. it helps inspire me!

So glad to know you all are doing wonderfully. That is great about the scholarships... those will help families out so much.

God bless! Hope you keep us up to date more often!

I must say I always check the name roll when I read Kim Faire's blog to see if you have posted. I so enjoyed reading your blog. You look fantastic!! Sometimes I feel like I have nothing to blog about except mundane things, but then I remember how much I enjoy reading other's "mundane" things.

It has been a long while. Love the photos of the family. Sounds like you have a full life. I would love to hear more about Girl Scouts in Colorado. I am a Leader for a Junior troop here in Arkansas.

Powerful Herbal treatment is 100% guarantee for HSV cure, the reason why most people are finding it difficult to cure HSV 1 or 2 is because they believe on medical report, drugs and medical treatments which is not helpful to cure HSV and hasn't proved any sign of helping. Natural roots/herbs are the best remedy which can easily eradicate herpes forever. I never believed it until I was helped and cured of my 16 months genital herpes with natural herbal medicines from Dr OGU Patrick. Where other medical prescribed drugs and treatments failed, Natural herbs helped saved me from Genital herpes permanently and i am so grateful for this.
