Christmas Tree Teaser

Thanks so much for your comments Kim, Mom, and Cindy! I was happy to read them and to know you are "there" in cyber-space! I will take some photos of the tree, decorations, etc...and post those as well. Tonight Ashlyn posed in front of the tree in her new "snow princess" dress, but I didn't get the whole tree, so that will come tomorrow! My teaching assignment went well today, but there were several wild kiddo's, so my work will be cut out for me next time! Thinking of you tonight, and knowing you are just on the other side of the mountains!

Longmont Dairy Farm

We have been able to experience farm fresh milk delivered right to our doorstep on a weekly basis. The Longmont Dairy farm is one of the few remaining home delivery dairies in the country. Our milk arrives in glass bottles, which are kept in a cooler on the front door. What a nice luxury to have, and it really does taste great. It takes only 24 hours from the cow to our doorstep!

Longmont Luxuries

We have enjoyed several little luxuries since living in our new city of Longmont. We have never had busses before, but now the kids are picked up daily right at our mailbox. Of course there is quite a walk to get there down our driveway! ha ha This is Ashlyn on the first day of school, and another of her today.

Good News!

Hello friends and family! Just a little bit of good news to share! Today I got a call from the principal at Ashlyn's school. He asked if I would be interested in working with a group of students on writing skills once a week. I would get to develop my own curriculum of mini skill lessons, and there would be a little pay involved too! I'm excited to work with the kids, in addition to my weekly PALS mentor students at the school. It is a great way for me to be home with our kids, yet still get to teach, and do what I love best! Our first Thanksgiving in Colorado

Our first Thanksgiving in Colorado! Tom and the kids worked on our snowman while Mom kept an eye on the turkey. It was a beautiful sunny day for celebrating our many blessings, and in the end, our first turkey was a success!
